These Terms & Conditions govern the hire of sports equipment from Safe Sports Rentals Ltd. By confirming a hire, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Definitions
In these terms:
- "Company" means Safe Sports Rentals Ltd
- "Hirer" means the person, organisation, or entity hiring equipment
- "Equipment" means any item hired under these terms
- "Hire Period" means the agreed period of hire
2. Hire Agreement
A hire agreement is formed when the Company confirms your enquiry in writing (email is accepted). The Hirer's submission of an enquiry does not constitute a binding order until confirmation is received from the Company.
Availability of specific items is not guaranteed until confirmation. The Company reserves the right to offer substitutions where items are unavailable and will notify the Hirer in advance.
3. Hire Period & Returns
The hire period begins at the agreed delivery or collection time and ends when all equipment is returned to the Company in the agreed condition.
Late returns may incur additional charges at the agreed daily hire rate. The Company will communicate this before enforcing additional charges.
4. Hirer's Responsibilities
The Hirer is responsible for:
- The safe custody and use of equipment during the hire period
- Ensuring equipment is used by appropriately supervised participants
- Returning equipment in the same condition as received, subject to reasonable wear
- Reporting any damage or defects at point of receipt, and before use
- Compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation during use
5. Equipment Condition & Liability
The Company provides equipment that has been checked prior to hire. However, the Hirer acknowledges that sports equipment carries inherent risk in use, and accepts responsibility for ensuring appropriate use, supervision, and site safety.
The Company's liability for any claim arising from the hire is limited to the value of the hire transaction.
The Company does not accept liability for:
- Injury arising from improper use of equipment
- Loss or damage caused by third parties during the hire period
- Consequential or indirect losses
6. Damage & Loss
The Hirer is liable for any damage to or loss of equipment during the hire period beyond normal wear and tear. The Company will assess damage costs fairly and notify the Hirer in writing.
7. Cancellation
The Company requests reasonable notice for cancellations. Cancellation terms will be specified in the hire confirmation. The Company reserves the right to retain a deposit or administration fee for late cancellations.
8. Delivery & Collection
The Company will agree delivery and collection times with the Hirer prior to the hire period. It is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure access to the agreed location at the agreed times.
In the event of circumstances outside the Company's control preventing delivery, the Company will notify the Hirer as early as possible and arrange an alternative.
9. Payment
Payment terms are agreed at point of hire confirmation. The Company reserves the right to require payment or deposit in advance for first-time hirers or large orders.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
